Is Affiliate Marketing the Ideal Side Hustle for Seniors?
Ongoing Passive Income
You know the feeling. You've worked hard all your life.
You deserve a comfortable retirement.
Especially one without money worries.
Not just the day to day ones, but with enough capital to afford that new car , to fit out your home with new appliances and to help your kids and grandkids to make a solid start in life.
Along with ongoing passive income that means you can finally travel the world the way you've always wanted to, without having to watch every penny. Heck, if you're going to travel, why not do it first-class?
But sadly, your retirement fund just isn't going to cut it.
And, as for your investment portfolio, what investment portfolio.
You need a side hustle.
I'm here to tell you that there's no better side hustle for seniors than affiliate marketing.
What the Heck Is Affiliate Marketing?

The Affiliate Marketing Model
The affiliate marketing model has parallels with the old commission salesperson model in the pre-internet days. You earn a commission by promoting other people's or company's products. It works on a performance-based system where affiliates earn a profit when their promotional efforts result in a sale.
Automation is King
The entire process is automated and your only responsibility is to promote the products you are an affiliate for. Though ethically, of course, they should be high-quality products that will genuinely help your customers. You can make a judgement on this with examining genuine reviews from existing customers of the product.
While there are many different online business models, I believe that Affiliate Marketing is the easiest to get into and the quickest way to make a nice online income.
And once it's all set up, promoting products with global appeal, you can literally make money while you sleep. This is passive income and it should be every affiliate marketer's goal. Including yours!
It's particularly relevant for seniors.
This Makes it Easy
There are platforms such as Internet Marketing FAST (click the link to find out more) that minimise the learning curve and make the technology available to everyone, even if you're a computer dummy.
You will learn how to build a website around something that you're interested in and how to find relevant products that you can promote and sell for an affiliate commission.
All without risking a penny, without having to stock inventory and without having to provide customer support.
How good is that?
Website? I Gotta Have a Website?

Strangely, this is the part that freaks out many seniors looking to create an affiliate marketing business.
I say strangely, because these days, building a website is really easy and anyone can do it.
Check out Build a Website (opens in a new window) and learn how you can get my personal help to create your new website.
You will have a website where you will promote one or more products (and don’t worry, just HOW you do this will be spelt out in the next couple of articles). If someone clicks on your Buy button and buys the product, you will automatically get paid the affiliate commission, typically by bank transfer.
This model is particularly appealing because it offers the opportunity to generate income without the need to create products, keep inventory or manage customer service. The essence of affiliate marketing lies in connecting potential buyers with products they might find useful and earning a portion of the revenue from sales generated through affiliate links.
For seniors looking to dive into affiliate marketing, understanding the flow of how it works is important and I'll cover this in the next blog post on the important topic of Affiliate Marketing for Seniors.

I hadn’t really touched on the working from home angle, but yes, that’s an important angle for many seniors who, for valid reasons, do not want to be out in the work force, but do need additional retirement income.
Your additional questions are valid ones that I will seek to highlight in future articles.
